With the continued challenges of climate change, the lack of high-quality irrigation water is affecting plant health and crop quality. Growers are seeking sustainable, chemical-free solutions to improve water quality and yield better crops.
Researchers at the Volcani Institute in Israel study solutions to help growers get the most of their irrigation water. In a recent study, they found that oxygen nanobubble-enriched irrigation water increased dissolved oxygen concentrations, increased wet and dry mass yields, and improved nutrient uptake by roots for lettuce crops.
