February 21, 2023 (Hawthorne, CA) – The leading nanobubble technology company, Moleaer, is exhibiting at the 38th Annual WateReuse Symposium, where John Crisman, Moleaer’s Senior Water Process Engineer will present on “Advanced Water Treatment: Lowering the Carbon-Footprint of Water Recycling.” The presentation is on March 7 at 4:15 pm as part of the Sustainable Goals and Reuse track.

The WateReuse Symposium is held on March 5-8 in Atlanta, Georgia at the Marriot Marquis Atlanta. Bringing water professionals together to share knowledge on water reuse, the event is cohosted with WateReuse and The Water Research Foundation.

Moleaer’s presentation focuses on nanobubble treatment and highlights a project with the Goleta Sanitary District in Goleta, California, where nanobubbles are used to remove fats, oils, grease, and surfactants from influent wastewater resulting in process intensification, increased treatment capacity, improved process stability, and reduced energy and chemical usage. The compounding benefits of nanobubble treatment provide a higher effluent water quality while also saving the District an estimated $127,000 USD per year in operating costs.

Nanobubbles measure 70-120 nanometers in diameter, roughly 2500 times smaller than a grain of salt. Nanobubbles remove slowly biodegradable contaminants like fats, oils, grease, and surfactants that disrupt common water and wastewater treatment processes. By removing these contaminants, nanobubbles enable treatment process intensification and lower the cost of treating water.

Join Moleaer’s Global Director of Water Process Engineering, Andrea White, and John Crisman at the WateReuse Symposium on March 5-8 at Atlanta Marriott Marquis. Moleaer will be at table 14, where attendees can learn more about nanobubble technology for water reuse applications.
