Join us on February 15, 2023 to learn how nanobubbles improve agriculture input efficiency and plant health

November 29, 2022 (Hawthorne, CA) –The leading nanobubble technology company, Moleaer, and Malvern Panalytical, manufacturer of laboratory analytical instruments and most notable for its work in the advancement of particle sizing technologies, hosts a webinar series on nanobubbles. The second webinar titled “The Science Behind Nanobubbles: How nanobubbles improve agriculture input efficiency and plant health” will be on February 15, 2023 at 1 pm ET.

Input costs continue to climb and the cost of producing food is a major challenge for the agricultural community. Water scarcity and poor irrigation water quality, coupled with dramatically more expensive fertilizers and chemicals, require adaptive growing practices to improve input efficiency without compromising plant health or productivity. Treating and enhancing irrigation water with oxygen nanobubbles delivers key benefits to the root zone that optimizes plant water and nutrient utilization and healthy development.

Moleaer’s nanobubble technology does two things: supersaturates irrigation water with dissolved oxygen and injects hundreds of millions of electrochemically charged nanobubbles that alter the properties of water to deliver multiple benefits. Increased dissolved oxygen levels maximize oxygen utilization by plants and beneficial microbes in the rhizosphere, promoting healthy root development and improving plants’ resilience to environmental stressors such as drought and heat. High concentrations of negatively charged nanobubbles reduce the surface tension of water and improve infiltration of soils and substrates as well as improve the capillary action of dissolved nutrients – a low-cost, synergistic input to reduce soil compaction and high salinity. Nanobubbles also produce a natural, mild oxidant when they encounter contaminants in the water, reducing water-borne pathogens and algae. Their hard, stable shell allows them to abrade biofilm and scale from irrigation systems and coat piping walls to limit new accumulation – improving system hygiene and reducing treatment costs. These are just a few of the benefits nanobubbles offer growers.

The first part of the webinar will give participants a deeper understanding of how nanobubble technology provides chemical-free and sustainable solutions for growers worldwide. Warren Russell, Moleaer’s CCO and co-founder, will share the science behind how nanobubbles improve the sustainability of agriculture along with several commercial case studies across a broad array of crops and growing styles. Malvern Panalytical’s Application Scientist, Ragy Ragheb, will explain how nanobubbles are measured and the importance of zeta potential.

Other webinars in the series will cover industry-specific applications of nanobubble technology in wastewater.
