Hawthorne, Calif., June 19, 2025 – Moleaer Inc., the global leader in nanobubble technology, has been named a finalist in the Innovation category at the 2025 Aquaculture Awards.  The awards recognize outstanding projects, businesses, and individuals driving progress in global aquaculture, from sustainability champions to leaders in innovation and responsible farming.

Moleaer’s nanobubble technology is helping aquaculture producers enhance oxygenation and water quality, reduce energy ad chemical use, and promote healthier fish environments. By delivering higher oxygen transfer efficiency and boost productivity, Moleaer enables operators to reduce costs, improve fish welfare, and increase reliability across flow-through, RAS, net pens, wellboats, and crowding and holding operations.

This nomination reflects Moleaer’s role as a trusted partner to the aquaculture industry, providing proven, science-backed solutions that strengthens performance where it matters most.

Three recent projects showcase this impact:

  • Rostein, one of Norway’s largest wellboat operators, integrated Moleaer nanobubble technology to enhance oxygenation during live fish transport. The system delivered an oxygen transfer efficiency of 86% — more than twice that of standard venturi injectors — reducing oxygen use, diesel consumption, and CO₂ emissions. Rostein estimates annual cost savings of up to €80,000 and describes the upgrade as “a major step forward for the industry.”
  • At Australis Dumestre’s processing facility in Chile, Moleaer nanobubble technology reduced oxygen consumption by 63% while maintaining consistently high dissolved oxygen (DO) levels. This allowed the plant to safely increase biomass density, support better fish welfare, and produce a more relaxed, higher-quality final product.

  • At SalMar Innovanor in Norway, oxygen levels in summer holding cages rose from 46.5% to 88% after integrating Moleaer’s system. The ability to crowd fish more intensively, even during warmer months, led to smoother processing, improved blood removal, and healthier fish with lower stress indicators.

As producers face growing pressure to optimize welfare, reduce resource use, and meet evolving sustainability standards, Moleaer nanobubble technology is setting a new benchmark for performance and innovation in aquaculture.

Winners of the 2025 Aquaculture Awards were announced at the ceremony during Aquaculture UK, the industry’s premier platform for celebrating excellence across 13 competitive categories.

About Moleaer

Moleaer is the leader in nanobubble technology, unlocking a new class of nanoscience to deliver scalable and sustainable solutions that increase productivity, lower operational costs, and reduce water, energy and chemical footprints across industries.

With over 3,500 systems deployed globally, Moleaer’s patented nanobubble generators set the standard for efficient gas-to-liquid transfer and nanobubble production. By injecting gases like oxygen directly into liquids at the nanoscale, Moleaer’s solutions accelerate physical, chemical and biological reactions while reducing the need for harmful chemicals and other inputs. This means healthier crops and higher yields for farmers, lower oxygen costs and improved water quality for fish farms, and better oxygen levels that support the restoration of lakes and reservoirs. Moleaer’s versatile technology is also driving sustainability in wastewater treatment, natural resource recovery, and advanced materials production.

Rooted in science and driven to advance nanobubble innovation, Moleaer’s team of industry experts collaborates with customers to create tailored solutions that solve their toughest challenges. With Moleaer, industries can achieve more with less, shaping a more efficient, sustainable, and resource-conscious future.
